Tom Cruise (Thomas Cruise Mapother IV) was born on July 03, 1962, in Syracuse, New York, USA. He is a star of many box office hits, including “Risky Business”, “Top Gun”, “A Few Good Men”, “The Firm”, and “Jerry Maguire”. His acting performance in “Taps” was magnificent, also the critics sad the same, and he eventually went on to star in many box office hits. From that moment his career blossomed. Tom ruled the movie industry in the early 1980s. He was also a very controversial actor and the most famous member of Scientology.
Early life
Cruise’s father Thomas was an electrical engineer, and mother Mary was an amateur actress and schoolteacher. His family moved around a great deal when Cruise was a child in order to accommodate his father’s career. When he was 11 his parents divorced, and he and his sisters moved with their mother to Louisville. He loved athletics and wrestling wanted to be a professional wrestler, but a knee injury sidelined him during high school. Cruise became interested in acting when he won the lead in a high school production.
Career
He joined various auditions, eventually made his way to secure a role in a musical play called “Godspell.” His performance impressed an Italian film director, Franco Zeffirelli, who later offered him a small role in “Endless Love”. Next, he was playing supporting characters in “Outsiders” and “Taps”. Tom earned his first major role through a comedy film entitled “Losin’ It”. The next project was “Risky Business” (1983) that caused his name to begin to make sound mainly for his excellent acting and attractive look either which had raised people’s interest. He continued to perform brilliantly in “All the Right Moves”. After he played in ‘Top Gun’, that movie brought him to achieve success and gain worldwide popularity. He was nominated 3 times for an Oscar.

Personal Life
Cruise suffered from dyslexia, like his mother and three sisters. At teenage, Cruise enrolled in a Franciscan seminary with thoughts of becoming a priest, but he left after a year. In 1987, he married an actress Mimi Rogers and through her, he became a student of Scientology (the religion which was found by writer L. Ron Hubbard). He later sad the church cured his dyslexia. He stayed in Scientology but divorced from Mimi. Later Cruise married an Australian actress Nicole Kidman, and again after a few years, they split up. In 2006, Cruise married his third wife, Katie Holmes, and that same year, the couple also got a daughter, Suri. Six years after the couple announced that they were divorcing.

Early life
His childhood wasn’t very happy. His mother Anna worked cleaning houses. He and his family lived in the low-income housing project. Also, the family’s money began to slip when his father began drinking heavily. His father went to U.S. Navy, and Bill was like a parent in the family. With money very tight for his family, Bill started to shine shoes to help out when he was 9 years old. He left high school and joined the U.S. Navy, and later also left college and became a stand-up comedian.
Career
Bill got his start as a stand-up performer before landing a starring role in ‘I Spy’, the 1960s action show. The series lasted for 3 years and he got a Primetime Emmy Awards for the show. In 1967 he starred in his own series, ‘The Cosby show’, which was very successful. In that show, he played the role of Dr. Huxtable. The show lasted for eight seasons from 1984 to 1992, and it became the number one show in America for five years. A spin-off series was later on created, ‘A Different World’, and became a right below ‘The Cosby Show’ in ratings.

He has a wife Camille Olivia Hanks, who he married on January 25, 1964. They have five children together, a son and four daughters. With so many years in the show business, the stories about him were coming all the time in the newspapers. He made news headlines when he became a victim of a celebrity death hoax that quickly escalated over the internet, but he denied it. In 2014, he also made headlines, not for his comedy, but numerous accusations of sexual assault. More women soon came forth to claim that the comedian attacked them as well. After this incident, Cosby remained silent about these claims.
