Biography of Robin Williams
Robin (McLaurin) Williams (Born: July 21, 1951-Died: August 11, 2014.). He was born in Chicago, ( Illinois ). He was a genius in comedy and at the same time, he was able to deliver stunning dramatic performances.
When he showed up on TV screen as the sweet alien in “Mork and Mindy”, people sad that the new true star was born.
What no one was sure of was whether his larger than life comedy would work on the big screen or not. It wasn’t until Moscow on the Hudson that the man some think the funniest comedian alive really came into his own. He was always gentle and generous, humane and thoughtful and very funny.
Early life
Robin was born as the only child of a former model of French descent named Laura McLaurin and Robert Fitzgerald Williams. Robert worked for a Ford Motor Company. He spent moss most of his life in different places, but the family moved to California and settled at last.
In California, he attended Larkspur’s Redwood High School and in that time he had already been noticed for his wish in entertaining people.
After graduation, he was studying political science at Claremont Men’s College. But soon he decided to leave the institution and enrolled in the College of Marin in Kentfield to learn more about acting.
Career
His first show up un TV was on the “Laugh-In”, NBC’s comedy show and “Happy Days”. The critic for his acting in that part was so great that it pushed his career to the stars. His career didn’t stop to rise and he was always busy during all these years. He made almost 150 movies.
The most known his movies are Popeye (1980), Moscow on the Hudson (1984), Good Morning Vietnam (1987), The Fisher King (1991), Hook (1991), Aladdin (1992), Mrs. Doubtfire (1993), Jumanji (1995), The Birdcage (1996), Good Will Hunting (1997), Patch Adams (1998), What Dreams May Come (1998), Bicentennial Man (1999), Insomnia (2002), One Hour Photo (2002), Night at the Museum (2006), Happy Feet (2006), and The Butler (2013).
He won an Oscar in “Good Will Hunting” and besides an Oscar, he also won five Golden Globe awards.
Personal Life
William’s first wife is Valerie Velardi and they have a son Zachary. After divorce with Valery comes a not present thing for him as he had an affair with a waitress who at the end sued him because she says that he transmitted her the STD ( the herpes virus). After a while again comes an unpleasant thing and that is that hiss nanny Marsha was pregnant with him. But Robin married her and they have 2 children now. But the couple divorced. And his last wife was Susan Schneider who he met at heart surgery. Williams was found dead of an apparent suicide at his home in California in 2014.
