Miley Cyrus (born on November 22, 1992, in Nashville, Tennessee) is an American singer and a movie actress. The world knows her for her role on TV show “Hannah Montana”. On the other hand her popularity also was rising as she was at the same time singing first as “Hannah Montana” and after a while, she changed her name in “Miley Cyrus”.

Early life

Her father is a country star Billy Ray Cyrus and mother’s name is Leticia. Since she was a child she was surrounded by music and performing. Her name “Miley” is a short name from Smiley. And Smiley is a nickname from her father because she smiled all the time when she was a baby. Her first Tv appearance was in her father’s show “Doc”.

Career

She auditioned for the new Disney series Hannah Montana when she was just 11. But they first decided she was not old enough to take that part. A year after she was called back and auditioned both alone and with her father. Though she was still small, it was decided that she can take the role. The serial was so successful that it made Miley a star almost overnight.

Her first CD as Hannah Montana went straight to the top of the charts. Miley, who plays guitar, wrote several of the songs herself. Almost every song was on the top of the list of singles charts. Miley was performing first under “Hannah Montana” name and then she performed under her own name.

Personal Life

She changed her middle name to Ray in honor of her grandfather. Her godmother is entertainer Dolly Parton. She loves to play with her many animals and spend time with her family. She has two younger siblings. She dated Nick Jonas of the musical group the Jonas Brothers. She has also been in a relationship with model Justin Gaston and actor Carter Jenkins, among other celebrities. After a romance with Justin, she was engaged to actor and Hunger Games star Liam Hemsworth. They were together four years but they split up.
